Testimonials

I wanted to let you know that [my son] was approved for the Medicaid waiver program.  It took them an unusually long time to rule on our application.  I suspect this was because of those 2 accounts we discussed.  Thanks to you, however, I was able to attach a detailed addendum with supporting documentation discussing each account and why it should not affect [my son's] eligibility.  I enjoyed meeting you, and I thank you again for the excellent legal work you did on behalf of [my son].

Renee and I would like to thank you for speaking to our support group. It was a wonderful presentation full of a wealth of  information for families.  We loved the CD that you provided. I would highly recommend this to every parent who has a child or family member with a disability. We were very happy with the turn out.

Thank you so much for providing such needed service to our families.

“Mark has a very knowledgeable insight into what it takes to plan for not only an estate, but also for a child that may need assistance once my wife and I are gone. He was extremely patient with us during the entire process, plus Mark has an excellent "bedside manner". He made everything very understandable in a very complicated process of setting up multiple trusts and estate planning concepts.”

“I would tell them [prospective clients] not to be concerned about the complications that they may have in their estate planning because Mark knows his business and can offer solutions to issues you may be facing, or in dealing with the future for someone with special needs.”

“At the beginning of the process of working with Mark we were very hesitant about what we were "getting into" because of the perceived complexity of the issue. When we were completed with the process we asked ourselves why we had waited so long since Mark made the entire journey very understandable and less daunting than we ever anticipated.”

“We have a special needs son (with spastic cerebral palsy) and we needed to update and enhance our estate plans to ensure he would be properly protected going forward.”

“Mark has been extremely in-tune with our needs and very knowledgeable about the pros and cons of each alternative we faced in updating of our estate plans.”

“We often tell our friends and those we know are searching for assistance in estate planning to contact Mark. We tell them that he is able to clearly and succinctly explain the options and give clear, sound guidance. His own personal family situations give him an empathy towards those with special needs family members that is unique and invaluable in his service.”

“The beginning of the process can seem overwhelming with all the information that is gathered, but it really is not burdensome nor difficult and at the conclusion, it is very easy to understand how all the pieces fit together to provide a cohesive and complete estate plan for the family, both short and long term.”

I wanted to get my estate planning done because I had seen where families did not benefit from an estate left to them and wanted to make sure that did not happen.  Mark takes great care to address individual circumstances and how the law can best apply to those circumstances.

The issues Mark helps you through are unpleasant to think about, but need to be addressed.

We wanted to make sure that our estate was protected for our grandchildren.  Without current and legal wills, our wishes would not be followed.  So, we asked our CPA who could help us.  He recommended Mark Biernath’s firm to us.

Mark suggested ways to accomplish our goals by using legal instruments.  We established living trusts that gave my wife and me more flexibility in handling our assets along with our wills.  My wife and I found his suggestions very helpful all along the way.

We recommend Mark’s firm if you want the law explained in common language that most can understand.  Even though we were apprehensive dealing with unfamiliar legal areas, Mark’s firm explained each step along the way.  He listened to our needs and produced the legal documents we needed with relative ease.

My husband and I came to the difficult realization that if we were both gone tomorrow, it would be extremely difficult for our only child, a son with autism. It would be even more difficult for him if we did not do our part in planning for this possibility. We saw Mark Biernath’s presentation at a seminar we attended and instantly had no doubt that Mark knew precisely what he was talking about. In addition, another couple in our county retained Mark’s services for their wills and special needs trust and told us their experience with Mark was outstanding. We decided it was time to put our concerns to rest regarding our son’s future, retained Mark, and since have completed our wills and special needs trust and the feeling in having accomplished this goal is very rewarding. Mark is on top of the law pertaining to special needs trusts, he puts you at ease with his knowledge, and we are grateful to have his expertise in assuring our son’s future!
